He is confident. A bit showy.  Sanguine.  Of course….he is a pirate!  The pose is still, yet energy filled.  He calls us all to engage and come alive.  I used to gravitate toward painting only women, but this year I am intrigued by painting some men.  They are a different sort.  Their faces are muscular.  I want to capture this masculinity.
