I wasn’t a Girl Scout. I was a Camp Fire Girl. I do like the motto of always being prepared, however. As an artist, I keep a sketch pad in my car and a graphite stick in my purse. I am in the stage of mothering that requires me to be a taxi service. That involves a lot of waiting. I don’t mind at all if I have my supplies. If I am really on the ball, I have a handful of pastel sticks and a camera. I have missed many opportunities, but I have also been prepared for a few as well. This painting was derived from a time of waiting on a piano lesson to end.
