Garden tours are a great way to take advantage of other people’s hard work. Diligent men and women of the soil sweat and toil in the sun and humidity. When all the planting, weeding and watering are done, artists and other plant enthusiasts come in and enjoy the botanical grand finales. I was pleasantly surprised this spring on my garden tour in Monroe, GA, when I found a hand-crafted pond with very large koi fish. This orange fellow was quite a delight and distracted me from plants at that particular venue.
